Leadership Standards

Leadership Standards or competencies can offer great clarity on the skills, knowledge, behaviours and attitudes expected of leaders within an organisation. Agreed standards enhance and inform leadership development provision and serve to augment the appraisal and recruitment and selection processes.

Avidus supports clients in clarifying the expectations of leaders throughout the organisation. This process is enhanced through application of the Avidus Model of Leadership. Leadership Standards help ensure:

The use of common language to describe effectiveness (what good leadership looks like)

A 360° leadership review tool aligned to the standards can be produced at a later stage in order to identify how leaders can be supported to demonstrate the standards. The Strategic Leadership Development Programme is then be aligned to the standards.
