This is offered as an open programme to leaders in all organisations, both locally and nationally. It is run periodically throughout the year in a number of locations throughout the UK.
What does the programme cover?
The Leadership in Action Module is designed to develop managers' knowledge and understanding of how leadership has evolved and the implications for leadership practice. It is designed to encourage managers to reflect upon their current leadership style and identify strengths and areas for improvement. It offers managers opportunities to reflect upon their practice as perceived by others through a 360° leadership review.
How is it delivered?
The module consists of a variety of activities including:
- Participative workshops
- Group Reflection Sessions
- Coaching
- Action Learning
- Individual Research and Reflection
The programme is based on the premise that the importance of leadership development is that learning is applied back in the workplace. Therefore, this is not a training programme, but rather a learning and development programme that spans almost a year. The learning, development and support are continuous.
Who should attend?
The programme is designed for those who have been in a leadership position for several years and are keen to reflect upon their approach in order to improve leadership capability. Prior to commencing the programme Avidus endeavour to understand more about each participant through telephone discussions and/or questionnaires.
